The research group participated with a research stand in Oslo city centre as a part of the Oslo Science fair Forskningsdagene 2018. The event is arranged in several cities in Norway every year. The stand focused on how we work to save endangered fish species, and is related to the IMPRESS project.
It was an interactive stand consisting of live fish in aquarium, embryos and larva in microscope, 3D fish anatomy tools, as well as posters, fish drawing competitions and a quiz. There were many curious visitors both days, with mostly school classes on Friday and families on Saturday. There was also several interested scientists from different diciplines. It was a nice experience for all researchers in the research group to communicate our science to the general public.
