IMPRESS – Improved production strategies for endangered freshwater species

This training school includes a 5-day course in computer imaging techniques and cryopreservation and a 4-day course in personal development and career plan. In the experimental techniques workshop the early-stage researchers will acquire competence on advanced computer imaging techniques to access sperm quality and get and overview of current cryopreservation techniques used in both aquaculture and conservation. The complementary skills workshop will help new researchers map out their career plan for the duration of the project and beyond. Ethical and welfare considerations of using animals in scientific research will also be covered.
